While pursuing an active career as a trainer, coach, and workshop facilitator, both independently and formerly of Stanford Graduate School of Business, Jody Healy has written over 60 songs and chants.

Jody started singing as a child using her sister’s bedpost as a microphone. She has been writing songs most of her adult life. She has been in numerous musical groups, choirs and musical events which include five years as lead vocalist for the Larry Halpern Jazz Trio in San Francisco, CA and a member of the Santa Cruz Threshold Choir since it’s inception in 2002.

Her CD, Still Time was produced by Tom Prasada-Rao in 2018. It showcases 17 or Jody's original songs including Navajo Prayer.

​Currently her chants and songs appear on seven CD’s including: Cider Jazz, (2003) The Threshold Choir (2004), Santa Cruz calabash award winner Debbie Nargi-Brown CD Into the Rhythm, (2004) , Barbara McAfee CD While You’re Alive (2006),  Joya Winwood’s Mothersong CD and songbook, Terry Biovona’s CD, and Patty Wolf’s CD, Light in the Night (2012) as well as several songbooks. Her song  titled Song from my Soul is in the book Sisters Singing published in 2009.
